Well I did a clean re install of windows and got back most of my software. Then comes patch Tuesday and I started to download Updates. When it went to install the very first one, I get a BSOD. It may have been that one that makes it easier to upgrade to Windows 8. After I tried again WU kept failing and I had to run it about 4 times for 13 updates. The one for Windows 8 Upgrade would not install so I just hid it. Then I had problems with Windows Explorer crashing so I have been working on this all week.When I was to go an RC on the recycle bin or Computer , I would just get the busy cursor thing and then WE would crash. I may have that fix but am not sure yest.

All the best i did mine about 2 weeks ago first time in 4 years lucky i never put anything on c drive as in programs wallpaper and so on
i install on different drive :pop2:

I used to do that but I have a brand new WD 1TB drive that I am using. If I had an SSD i certainly would do that. Even if you install programs on a seperate drives, pieces of the program are installed on the windows drive anyway.
